It's about freedom and independence, two sides of the same coin. In-demand skills, a stellar professional background, and a beautifully-designed resume that proves your worth mean you have the freedom to quit that job you hate or move to the place you've always wanted to live. And yes, they also lead to financial success, which gives you the independence to start your own business or pay off your debt. In our modern world, self-reliance often starts with a career you control.
Our Resume Philosophy
We believe that every resumeĀ will face a triple blockade, which are the 3 primary hurdles between you and your dream job. A resume needs to successfully navigate these blockades.
The ATS (Applicant Tracking System) is an HR software tool used to prescreen applicants based on the keywords in their resume compared against the keywords in the job posting.
Recruiters and hiring managers are wading through hundreds of resumes. They spend an average of 7 seconds deciding whether to discard it or read it over more carefully.

About Our Founder
Rebekah Hawthorne has over 10 years of professional resume writing experience. While working in publishing, she began writing resumes on the side. When her client base expanded quickly, she founded Flying Colors and expanded her services to the offerings you see today.Ā
The classes found here are designed and delivered by Rebekah, which combines her experience in instructional design from her publishing days with her expertise in resume writing and other career-related topics.
